I've been invited by Farfetch.com to take part in their exclusive competition "Style is Eternal" that celebrates the opening of "Yves Saint Laurent: Style is Eternal" exhibition at the Bowes Museum.
What Farfetch asks is just to style the iconic Saint Laurent Le Smoking tuxedo jacket, creating a fashion set that only features Saint Laurent items and that is inspired by the designer's famous quote ‘Fashion Fades, Style is Eternal’.
So, here is my entry. As you can see, the smoking jacket is the key element of the set, being a staple item of the wardrobe and a timeless classic garment; while all around, you find four main styles in which you can wear it: office, casual, edgy and elegant. Then, what else can you spot? Just a little hint of my favorite color, red :)

After lovely...these are gorgeous. I particularly love the red top/dress at the bottom right, such a gorgeous rich shade of red that I love. And the black skirt is perfect!! Hi Lilli, I do love their famous quote and have always agreed with it! The tuxedo jacket is perfect, i do enjoy wearing an androgynous look but most of all i love pairing a blazer with jeans and heels - it's very chic and sexy so I like your choice of that. Over the knee boots and a blazer look amazing too in the winter and yes that pop of red can make all the difference. Hope you are having a lovely weekend! x

Yves Saint Laurent is certainly one of my most favorite designers and fashion houses! Laurent always has so many classy and timeless pieces that you can wear for many, many years!
